George L. Forbes was one of the founding partner of Forbes, Fields & Associates Co., L.P.A. Born in 1931, he received his B.A. in 1957 from Baldwin-Wallace College and his J.D. in 1962 from Cleveland Marshall School of Law. In 1971, Mr. Forbes assisted in the original formation of the law firm, formerly known as Rogers, Horton & Forbes. Mr. Forbes has been admitted to practice before the Ohio Supreme Court and the United States District Court of the Northern District of Ohio. His professional memberships include the Greater Cleveland Bar Association, Cuyahoga County Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, the National Association of Bond Lawyers and the National Bar Association. Helen Forbes Fields is a partner of Forbes, Fields & Associates Co., L.P.A., where she was previously active in the firm's public law and municipal finance practice. Currently Ms. Forbes Fields concentrates her practice in the area of litigation. She has formerly served as Law Director to the City of East Cleveland, Ohio on two occasions. Born in 1959, she graduated Cum Laude in 1981, from Spelman College with a B.A. degree in Political Science and received her J.D. in 1984 from Howard University School of Law. She also attended Loyola University Summer Law School, Rome, Italy, in 1983. Ms. Forbes Fields has been involved in various public and privately placed issuance of revenue bonds and general obligation bonds for the State of Ohio, and other cities and counties in the United States. Ms. Forbes Fields has been admitted to practice before the Ohio Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and the United States Court of Appeals in the Sixth Circuit. She is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers, Cleveland Bar Association and the National Bar Association. Ms. Forbes Fields has been profiled in several magazine publications for her community and civic interests. Currently, she serves as a Trustee of the Cleveland Museum Of Art. Darrell A. Fields is a partner with Forbes, Fields & Associates Co., L.P.A. Born in 1958, he received his B.A. in 1980 from Wittenberg University and his J.D. in 1983 from Howard University School of Law. Since joining the firm in 1987 his primary areas of practice have been public law, municipal finance law and real estate law. Mr. Fields has served as bond counsel, co-bond counsel, underwriter's counsel and issuer's counsel on over two hundred revenue bond and general obligation bond financings. Additionally, Mr. Fields is general counsel to the Ohio Air Quality Development Authority. Mr. Fields has been admitted to practice before the Ohio Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers, National Bar Association and the Norman S. Minor Bar Association. Mr. Fields has served as a panel member for the Bond Attorneys Workshop sponsored by the National Association of Bond Lawyers and lease finance workshops sponsored by the Association for Governmental Leasing & Finance. Scott H. Schooler is a senior associate with Forbes, Fields & Associates Co., L.P.A. Born in 1957, he received his B.A. degree in Journalism and Urban Design in 1978 from New York University, his M.S. degree in Urban Studies in 1979 from Cleveland State University, and his J.D. degree in 1984 from Case Western Reserve University School of Law where he was a member of law review. Mr. Schooler joined the firm in 1994. During his employment with Forbes, Fields & Associates Co., L.P.A., Mr. Schooler has had experience with governmental law, zoning law, employment law, tort law, contract law, civil rights litigation, real estate law and school construction law. Carl A. Lewis is an associate attorney with Forbes Fields & Associates Co. L.P.A. Born in 1981 he received his B.S. in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2003, and his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 2006. Since joining the firm in 2006, his primary areas of practice have been municipal finance law, contract, and real estate law. Mr. Lewis has served as bond counsel, co-bond counsel, underwriter's counsel and issuer's counsel and issuer's counsel. Mr. Lewis has been admitted to practice before the Ohio Supreme Court.
